Hey Guys, I know its been a long time
Hey Guys, I know its been a long time since I've written but I've had a lot of things going on in my life. Mainly trying to get my body back to 100 percent. I'm down here in Miami Beach now getting ready for next season. I've been doing lots of work down here and I'd like to give you the typical day in the life of my off season..
6am- wake up and have breakfast shake or breakfast by smartbitestogo.com.
7am- Running. Ill do a couple miles along with 50yd sprints. Ill also alternate days with weight training and running routes and catching balls.
9-930am- Post workout meal. Usually chicken or fish with a carbohydrate and vegetable or a protein shake. Ill usually get off my feet and catch up with some phone calls and personal business.
12pm- This is lunch time. By this time I'm starving and will usually have a lunch consisting of 300-350 calories. Usually chicken or fish with a carbohydrate and some vegetables. Also lots of water. I have a meal service that delivers my meals fresh to my door every morning so this keeps me on nutritional plan.
1pm- This is when I have my massage therpaist/yoga instructor come over. This guy is phenominal. He makes me a lot more limber and pushed my body further than I can do on my own. This is very important for me to prevent injuries and to keep my body in total allignment. His sessions usually last 1 hour or more.
3pm- This is where I try and sneak a snack in to keep my metabolism going and to refresh my body from the massage/yoga session. Usually fruit or a protein shake, depending on my appetite. After this I'm feeling great. Ill usually catch up with some of the NFL news, especially this last week with free agency, there's been a lot going on in the league.
5pm- This is when my man victor comes by. He is an accupuncturist. This is a practice that I've grown to love over the years. Now I can't live without it. Its not only great to get my circulation flowing but its great for my mind. It helps me focus on the goals that I want to accomplish this year which are;
1. Help the Saints win a championship.
2. Get back to the Pro Bowl.
7pm- Dinner time. Ill have a nice dinner that is right in line caloriewise with my other meals. This is where my physical work is finished for the day and I can now focus on resting up for my next day of work.
10-11pm- Bedtime. Believe it or not, I've been putting a lot of focus on getting eight quality hours of sleep in. This is something I didn't put much emphasis on in the past but realize now that its probably the most important component of any training program, especially mine.
Now don't get me wrong, some days the routine will vary and change up. Your probably asking what do I do for fun. Well, on my days off ill either hit the beach and relax with a few friends or charter a boat and go fishing. I love the ocean, its very relaxing. Lately though, I've been getting a few new cool tatoos. I don't want to tell you too much about them bc I'm going to put up some pictures of them pretty soon. So ill have to keep you guys in suspense.
Well, thanks for logging into my website. Keep coming back as I will be updating it more and more this off season. Ill also be adding some more content so that you guys can interact more with me. Until the, be safe and God Bless.
Yours truly,
Jeremy Shockey
